Jazykovedný časopis (Journal of Linguistics) has been continuously published since 1954 by the Ľudovít Štúr Institute of Linguistics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, Bratislava, Slovak Republic. The journal operates as an open-access publication.

All journal content is freely available to individual users as well as institutions. Readers may read, download, copy, print, distribute, search, and link to full texts of articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose without prior permission from the publisher or the author. These principles comply with the definition of open access according to the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), available at www.budapestopenaccessinitiative.org.
