About the Journal

The journal was founded in 1954 thanks to three people, Viliam Thuzo, director of the Institute, Alojz Winkler, and Ctirad Oravec. Three volumes were issued under the name ČESKOSLOVENSKÁ ONKOLÓGIA until the journal was renamed in 1957. Since then the journal is known as NEOPLASMA. The name ČESKOSLOVENSKÁ ONKOLÓGIA was used as a subtitle of the journal, later replaced by the more appropriate one – Journal of Experimental and Clinical Oncology, because NEOPLASMA has been publishing articles describing mainly novel findings in the fields of experimental and clinical oncology. In addition to research articles, minireviews and book reviews are published, while “case report” articles are excluded.

NEOPLASMA is owned and published by Cancer Research Institute, BMC SAS

NEOPLASMA is published bimonthly, one volume/year (print ISSN 0028-2685; online ISSN: 1338-4317).
