Jounral of Hydrology and Hydromechics

About the Journal

JOURNAL OF HYDROLOGY AND HYDROMECHANICS is an international, open-access journal for the basic disciplines of water sciences, published by the Institute of Hydrology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences.

Scope
Hydrology coverage is limited to biohydrology, catchment hydrology, and vadose zone hydrology, primarily of the temperate zone. Hydromechanics covers theoretical, experimental, and computational hydraulics and fluid mechanics, including two- and multiphase flows, non-Newtonian flow, and new frontiers in hydraulics.

Peer Review
All submissions are original research papers, case studies, or reviews, and are thoroughly peer reviewed. Papers addressing region-specific problems should present and analyse past and/or future conditions and design solutions, or provide new knowledge compared to previously published studies (comparative science). Novelty must be clearly presented — the journal particularly welcomes papers offering new insight into region-specific hydrological or hydrodynamic processes and their response to changing conditions.

Fees
The journal is fully open access. Authors are not subject to any publication fees.

History
The journal is published by the Institute of Hydrology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, Bratislava, Slovak Republic. Volumes 1–40 were issued under the title Vodohospodársky časopis.
