About the Journal

Geografický časopis (Geographical Journal) is an international, peer-reviewed scholarly journal published quarterly by the Institute of Geography of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. The journal provides a platform for high-quality original research in physical geography, human geography, regional development, spatial planning, environmental studies, geoinformatics, and related interdisciplinary fields.

The journal welcomes contributions from the international research community and promotes methodological innovation, comparative research, and interdisciplinary dialogue within the geographical sciences. All submissions undergo rigorous peer review to ensure academic quality and integrity.

Geografický časopis operates under a full Open Access model. All articles are freely accessible immediately upon publication and are distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0). Authors retain copyright of their work and grant the journal the right of first publication.
